Grease traps and local food service businesses
Lithopolis provides sewer service through its own Utility Department, with separate sewer rates for customers inside and outside the village.
If your business is on village sewer, say whether you are an in-town or out-of-town customer when you contact the department. Keep the hauler's record from every pumping, and book visits closer together if the unit keeps coming up nearly full.

Common grease trap questions
How often do Lithopolis restaurants need grease trap pumping?
It depends on trap size, menu and volume, along with local requirements. Confirm the required pumping interval with the village utility department before setting a schedule. Interceptor sizing here follows the Ohio Plumbing Code, and the provider can measure the tank to suggest a starting point. A provider can measure your trap and suggest a schedule.
Do providers serving Lithopolis handle in-ground interceptors?
Many do. Tell the provider whether you have an indoor trap or an outdoor interceptor, and its size if you know it, so they can confirm they have the right equipment. Call to check availability.
Who will I be speaking to when I call?
A short automated prompt asks for your ZIP code, then routes your call to an independent grease trap service provider covering Lithopolis. We are a connection service and do not perform the work. The provider you speak with sets the price, schedule and terms.
